Teacher Talk Online: Social Responsibility — How to Meet the Ministry Standards in an Online Environment
Description:
Live
How do you assess social responsibility when your students are online and working at a distance from teachers? Is an online community the same as a Face-To-Face environment or are different approaches needed?
In this session, Warren Wilson will facilitate a discussion on strategies to address the challenges and opportunities presented by the BC Ministry of Education’s standards in an online learning environment.
Presenter: Warren Wilson
Warren Wilson, principal of the North Coast DE School (NCDES) in Terrace, has been involved in distance education since 1993. He has traveled extensively, has a passion for photography and wilderness hiking and feels he owns, arguably, the ugliest dog in the northwest.
