Join Jason Ravitz to discuss Problem or Project Based Learning (PBL) and discover what instructional design looks like for this approach to learning. Jason is Director of Research at the Buck Institute for Education (BIE), responsible for providing the vision, designing, and carrying out various research programs. He is also responsible for large scale studies, advancing knowledge about the process of teaching and learning, and refining innovative practices with teachers and BIE staff.

BIE is a non-profit research and development organization dedicated to improving the practice of teaching and the process of learning.
Jason received his Ph.D. in Instructional Design, Development & Evaluation at Syracuse University in 1999. He has lectured or co-taught courses in research methods and technology design at Syracuse University, Stanford University, University of California, Berkeley, and University of California, Irvine.
